lynn bushThe Balboa Island Museum offers free on-site group tours of our 1947 cottage house. Start with the Native America tribes, Spanish explores, and the Santa Ana River. Learn the 100+ years of history from the dredging of the island by W.S. Collins to contemporary families. Donations are gladly accepted.

Docents led tours are available everyday on Tuesdays-Sundays from 10am-4pm. Please call 949-675-3952 or email Jennifer Keil, the Museum Director, for more details.

We have an on-site patio that can also accommodate your group’s lunch. Please consider using our preferred catering options.

walking tour

We suggest you take the Balboa Island Walking Tours that are done by reservations only. They cost $35 per person and last two hours from 10-noon. You will experience the unique history of how this beautiful island came to be. Their guides will take you on a journey from the beginning days through present time with amusing stories of the people, places and events. Come laugh and share your love for Balboa Island!
